GENERAL SUMMARY:
Responsible for the assessment of respiratory patients with acute and chronic illnesses, to ensure delivery of clinically appropriate respiratory care procedures as prescribed by the medical staff for neonate, pediatric, adolescent and adult patients.
PRINCIPAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. *Commits to the mission, vision, beliefs and consistently demonstrates our core values.
2. *Performs routine and complex modalities of respiratory therapy independent of direct supervision.
3. *Demonstrates competency in technical skills related to the Respiratory Therapy department.
4. *Develops, reviews, and revises patient plans of care as needed to provide optimal outcomes.
5. *Provides diagnostic procedures within the LRCP scope of practice, such as ABG's and Intubations.
Additional Information
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Graduate of an AMA approved Respiratory Therapy Program and CRT or RRT credentials current with the NBRC required. RRT certification with the NBRC required within six (6) months of hire. Two (2) years of ICU experience preferred.
OTHER CREDENTIALS / CERTIFICATIONS:
Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required. Bryan Health recognizes American Heart Association (for healthcare professionals), American Red Cross (for healthcare professionals) and the Military Training Network.
Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required within three (3) months of hire.
