GENERAL SUMMARY:

Responsible for providing in class and at-the-elbow training and support to all Bryan staff and providers, for the Epic system. Utilizes the curriculum, lessons and training materials created by the Principal trainers.  Assists with training coordination and will create eLearnings.            

 

PRINCIPAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. *Commits to the mission, vision, beliefs and consistently demonstrates our core values.
  2. *Leads end-user training using the curriculum designed by principal trainers. Helps end users envision how they will utilize the system in their daily work.
  3. *Prepares for class and sets up the classroom.
  4. *Follows up on any outstanding questions that arise in the classroom.  Collects feedback from trainees in class and communicates that information to the principal trainer.
  5. *Helps principal trainers update training materials. Creates end user quick start guides and tip sheets when indicated and beneficial to the end user.
  6. *Tests lesson plans and trains environment build.
  7. *Facilitates study halls and personalization labs.
  8. *Administers end-user proficiency assessments and in-system checklists.
  9. *Supports end users with at-the-elbow go-live support.
  10. *Administers post-live refresher, optimization, and skills-enhancement training.
  11. *Assists with responding to IT Service Desk tickets.  Serves as a point of escalation and determines appropriate resources/actions for resolution in a timely manner.
  12. *Develops and maintains content for computer based training modules.  Designs interactive and engaging online courses using adult learning principles and authoring tools; collaborates with Principal Trainers to incorporate information into online courses.
  13. *Utilizes Learning Management System (LMS) to perform training coordination responsibilities related to end user training enrollment for eLearnings and Instructor Led Training (ILT).  These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, publishing online courses, course assignment to end users, build and reconcile live classes.
  14. Assists with provider personalization and Dragon training.
  15. Serves as an ambassador of the new system.
  16. Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.
  17. Participates in meetings, committees and department projects as assigned.
  18. Performs other related projects and duties as assigned.

  1. Knowledge of computer hardware equipment and software applications relevant to work functions.
  2. Skill in creating documents in Microsoft Office products and web based technologies.
  3. Skill in delivering consistent customer service through demonstration of strong work ethic and service orientation.
  4. Skill in public speaking and presenting to audiences of all levels of the organization.
  5. Ability to effectively lead and facilitate meetings.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Associate’s degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum two (2) years’ clinical experience required. Adult education and classroom training experience desired. Epic or other related EMR systems experience preferred.

 

OTHER CREDENTIALS / CERTIFICATIONS:

Pass Credentialed Trainer (CT) credentialing program upon hire with a minimum score of 85%.

Must have internet connectivity off-premises in order to respond to work requests when necessary.

Per leader’s discretion – If assigned to drive Bryan owned vehicles, a valid driver’s license and verification and maintenance of responsible driving record per facility standards required.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

(DOT) – Characterized as sedentary work requiring exertion up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.

This position is responsible for working with all assigned areas, including all entity locations. Regular Travel (including overnight) may be required based on the needs of the organization.
