This opportunity is located within our EnviroLogix business that develops and manufactures testing solutions for detecting GMOs, mycotoxins, plant pathogens, natural toxins and chemical contaminants in multiple agricultural matrices.

Job Description

General Summary:

The Pre & Post Sales Support Specialist will conduct customer onboarding, trainings, and demos virtually and on-site with customers across the United States, Canada, and across the globe. They will work directly with the Commercial teams (Sales, Customer Service, Marketing) with customer trainings, trade shows, and selected customer visits 50-75% of their time.They will also serve as a resource for customers and internal employees for technical support. Customer interface will be in-person and via telephone/e-mail with internal and external customers. Additionally, they will provide first-line diagnosis of customer issues and work with Managers and Team Leads from Customer Engagement, Production, Product Development, Software, Senior Technical Applications Scientists and QA, for more complex support. They will also act as a source for pre-sales explanations of protocols and suitability of products for specific applications.

Remote work option for candidates based in the US Midwest.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Conduct on-site customer onboarding and refresher trainings
  • Conduct virtual customer onboarding and refreshing trainings
  • Field training of customers, sales force and, potentially, distributor sales force
  • Training sales reps on basic pre- and post-sales explanations of product capabilities, limitations, procedures and interpretation
  • Support and demos at trade shows and customer meetings
  • Participation in technical seminars, conferences, and symposia for product promotion
  • Feedback on product design, new product specifications, product change requests
  • Coordination with Technical Support team for disposition and prioritization of customer technical issues
  • Fulfillment of first-line support responsibilities while exceeding customers' perceptions of first-class products and first-class support
  • Comparative analysis through review of stability studies and incident report files, as needed
  • Other duties as requested

Reports To: Manager of Inside Sales & Customer Service

Skills Required:

  • Ability to communicate effectively and work well as part of a team
  • Ability to be effective on independent field visits, leading presentations, virtual trainings, and representing EnviroLogix professionally in difficult situations
  • Ability to advocate for both the customer and EnviroLogix.
  • Proficient with Excel and Microsoft 365
  • Instrumentation and PC experience is helpful
  • An understanding of lateral flow devices and ELISA, PCR or other DNA testing is helpful

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry or biology or significant relevant coursework
  • Minimum of two years bench laboratory, sales, and/or technical support/customer support experience
