We're actively seeking a talented Advanced Planning Director to join our Advanced Designs team in Newport Beach, CA. This role can be on-site, hybrid or fully remote (depending on location).

The Advanced Planning Director provides technical and marketing support to financial advisors, professional advisors, field management and other support personnel in furtherance of advanced life insurance sales in the estate planning, retirement planning, business succession, and executive benefits markets.

How you will make an impact:

  • Provide exceptional advanced case design support to Pacific Life recruiters, financial advisors, and professional advisors in the areas of estate, retirement, business, and charitable planning.
  • Conduct phone or virtual consultations with Pacific Life recruiters, financial advisors and professional advisors.
  • Develop marketing, sales, and educational materials on advanced concepts in estate, retirement, business and charitable planning.
  • Present at internal and industry meetings, as well as deliver informal presentations during office visits or to study groups.
  • Develop strong relationships with Pacific Life recruiters and financial advisors.
  • Responsible for understanding Pacific Life's financial underwriting guidelines and rationale for such guidelines.
  • Stay abreast of any regulatory/legislative changes impacting our industry to ensure that our organization, distributors and sales personnel are well-informed
  • Execute additional tasks as assigned.
  • Ability to travel approximately 15-25% of the time.


The experience you will bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • JD Degree
  • 7+ years supporting advanced life insurance sales in the estate planning, retirement planning, business succession, and executive benefits markets.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking and delivering engaging presentations
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with the Advanced Designs team and across functional areas
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Pacific Life recruiters, financial advisors, and professional advisors such as attorneys and CPAs.
  • Knowledge and experience with software such as Crescendo and NumberCruncher

Base Pay Range:

The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.

$159,660.00 - $195,140.00
