Job Description

Responsible for assisting physicians in their medical practice by providing foot care, screening evaluations, providing appropriate referrals for foot problems such as foot ulcers and loss of protective sensations and delivers care to patients who are chronically or acutely ill. Works under the supervision of the physician to assist in restoring or maintaining patients at a maximum level of health to help prevent limb loss.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Graduation from an accredited professional nursing program required. Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of Nebraska required. Completion of self-study of a Nebraska limited podiatric radiology technologist program required or completion of the extremities testing of an LRT required. Current registration with the State of Nebraska as a Limited Podiatric Radiographer or LRT with completion of the extremities testing to perform complete foot and ankle x-rays required.Certification as a foot care specialist (CFCS) required.
