J & J Sanitation, a Waste Connections Company, is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team in O'Neil, NE. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Pay range:$24 - $28 per hour + $5,000 Bonus!

Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment
- Strong knowledge of safety procedures and regulations
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical dexterity
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work in various weather conditions and environments

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment such as Garbage Trucks, excavators, loaders, and graders
- Follow safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe work environment
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment
- Complete daily logs and reports to track equipment usage and maintenance activities
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers to ensure smooth operations
- Adhere to company policies and regulations
