Responsible for coordinating and supervising the operations of the Pre-Admissions, Pre-Op, PACU, and Scheduling departments. Maintains performance improvement activities within the departments and participates in CQI activities. Assures competency of all personnel. Assists in formulating budget, evaluates department performance versus budget and takes appropriate action to remain in budget guidelines. Develops and implements system of reviewing department charges, ensures that patient charges are accurate. Maintains efficient and effective department operation while requiring compliance with all state, federal, and local regulatory laws, standards and protocols. Consults with KRMC staff, physicians, the Chief Nursing Officer, Director of Procedural Services, and other department managers regarding the interpretation of facility policies to ensure patient needs are met. Reports directly to the Director of Procedural Services.
