Position Summary:

This position will play a crucial role in our shipping department by maintaining daily, weekly and monthly schedules. This position will coordinate with all departments to ensure on time delivery metrics are met. This candidate will have a strong background in exceptional communication skills, very well organized and a great understanding of planning and scheduling methodologies.

Essential functions:

  • Conduct daily shortage and customer service meetings.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including production, supply chain, procurement, engineering, product management, and sales, to gather necessary information for scheduling decisions.
  • Provide spacing requirements to the customer service team for container shipments. Schedule container load dates and times. Build load sheets for container shipments.
  • Validate weights and dimensions for flatbed shipments. Provide potential items that may need to be removed to avoid trucking issues. Provide load plans for oversized systems.
  • Provide weights and dimensions for freight and UPS orders as requested. Collaborate with the Aftermarket team to schedule Full truck and Distribution Center shipments.
  • Assist inventory control with cycle counting plans to ensure we complete monthly, quarterly, and yearly counting requirements.
  • Assist value stream manager and leads with KPI data for the daily management boards.
  • Review daily back orders to identify root cause as well as providing best shipping methods when material is available.
  • Conduct daily load audits to ensure quality expectations are met before shipments leave the facility.
  • Identify potential bottlenecks, capacity constraints, and risks in the production process and proactively propose solutions to mitigate them.
  • Be able to read, write and communicate in English

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED, required. Associates or Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain or related field, preferred but not required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Proven experience (3-5 years) as a Master Scheduler or in a similar role within an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of production planning and scheduling methodologies, as well as familiarity with manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Proficiency in using advanced scheduling software and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership skills to guide and mentor junior team members.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and unforeseen challenges.
  • Certification in production planning or supply chain management is a plus.
  • Continuous improvement (LEAN) understanding to look for the following in cost savings is a plus.
  • Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (metguard boots, protective eyewear, hard hats, gloves, ear plugs, etc)
  • Be able to read, write and communicate in English
