Position Summary:

Lindsay Corporation is hiring an Electrical/Mechanical Technician at their Lindsay, Nebraska facility. This position isresponsible for repairing and installing production/manufacturing equipment. Performs maintenance and repairs on all pneumatic machines and line equipment. Also, inspects equipment for proper functionality and performs preventative maintenance duties per manufacturer's specifications.

Essential functions:

  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on electro-mechanical systems, including machinery, controls, and sensors.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and perform necessary repairs.
  • Install, align, and calibrate new equipment and components.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize equipment performance and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergencies and take appropriate corrective actions.
  • Document maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment logs, and inventory records.
  • Train and provide guidance to junior technicians or operators on equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and promote a culture of safety within the facility.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry best practices.
  • Associate degree or technical certification in electro-mechanical technology, industrial maintenance, or a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in electro-mechanical maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including PLCs, robotics, motors, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools, multimeters, and other testing equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual tasks and lift heavy equipment.
  • Flexibility to work on-call or in

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to add and subtract using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral or diagram form.
  • Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (metguard boots, protective eyewear, hard hats, gloves, ear plugs, etc)
  • Be able to read, write and communicate in English
