Overview of Position:

Streck is recruiting a Research and Development Assistant to join our Research and Development Team. This position will provide experience to candidates interested in industry science careers. Primary responsibilities will include lab and inventory maintenance. This is an excellent opportunity to put your organizational skills to work in an industry setting.

The Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Gaining knowledge in areas like:
    • Chemistry and Biology.
  • Support lab staff by organizing lab and materials including chemicals.

Requirements include:

  • High school student or undergraduate student interested in biochemistry, chemistry, biology, or a related discipline.
  • Knowledge of good laboratory practice.
  • Experience with Excel and basic computer programs.
  • Dependable and organized with demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work to meet scheduled and/or project deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate efficiently with colleagues of differing backgrounds both in scientific and business settings.
  • Strong planning experience.
  • Strong listening skills are necessary.

Work Schedule:

  • 8-hour days - Monday through Friday 8:00am-4:30pm

Dress Code Requirements:

  • Business Casual

  • Medium work exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 5 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 5 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
