POSITION SUMMARY:
Preconstruction Project Engineers personnel are responsible for the activities that occur at the beginning of a project prior to the start of construction. Responsibilities include budgeting, scheduling and logistics planning. Preconstruction personnel are expected to work with people in all levels of Project Management and Field Supervision to establish budget and operational priorities to help ensure a quality project.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform full take offs and pricing of project scope both manually and electronically
- Assist in the creation of virtual design models for estimating
- Work with the team to develop comparable building analysis
- Assist in bid descoping of multiple trades
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- B.S. in Construction Engineering or related technical area
- 0 - 3+ years experience
- Knowledge of On-Screen Takeoff (OST) or similar electronic takeoff program
- Knowledge of WinEst or similar electronic estimating software
- Prior experience with Revit
- Work from Barrington/Des Plaines Offices
