We're looking for an exceptional Engineering Manager to manage and grow Snowflake's FinTech. This team is focused on building a deep understanding of Snowflake's spend on our Cloud Service Providers, and delivering service specific SLA for COGs and are easily articulated and implemented across organizations to contribute to company margin.

AS AN ENGINEERING MANAGER AT SNOWFLAKE, YOU WILL BE EXPECTED TO:
  • Set the strategic vision for your team and be accountable for team plans and deliverables
  • Drive team projects from idea formulation, through design and implementation collaborating with partner teams
  • Be able to shift resources across areas and projects to achieve execution goals and to respond to lessons from customer and production issues
  • Provide strong technical leadership to the team with a focus on quality, performance, and security
  • Foster a culture of creativity and innovation while also promoting practical decision-making
  • Grow and build a strong, healthy, and diverse team by participating in all steps of the recruiting process from sourcing to closing
  • Be responsible for the career development of your reports, providing continuous mentorship and coaching
  • Collaborate with other engineering teams and cross functional teams in Berlin and world-wide
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
  • 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience
  • 3+ Project Management experience
  • 3+ years of engineering management experience
  • 3+ years of experience within a Production Environment, SRE or DevOps experience, container orchestration technologies; preferably, Kubernetes
  • Experience driving the development of metrics, scorecards and or telemetry systems related to cloud costs and performance.
  • Proven track record of recruiting, hiring, leading and growing technical teams
  • Rock solid engineering fundamentals with distributed systems experience
  • Extensive and strong development experience in cloud environments, such as AWS, Azure, and GCP
  • Experience in a SaaS environment
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related majors, or equivalent experience

The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:

  • The estimated base salary range for this role is $214,000 - $327,700.
  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake's bonus and equity plan.

The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location. This role is also eligible for a competitive package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; flexible spending & health savings account; at least 12 paid holidays; paid time off; parental leave; employee assistance program; and other company benefits.
