About The Opportunity

This position is responsible for performing all tasks involved in the production of products.

Essential Job Functions

The following duties are normal for this position. The incumbent may perform some or all of these duties however; it is not an exclusive or all-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Train and lead forklift operators to transport finished jobs or goods into correct areas
  • Move pallets of goods for jobs in process to appropriate area as needed
  • Place finished goods which are on a designated pallet to the correct location
  • Perform all functions accurately as required in WMS system
  • Reduce errors and safety incidents, assigns forklift operators to specific jobs/feeding lines
  • Accurately complete forklift operator's checklist
  • Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues
  • Confer with managers to ensure coordination of other production lines
  • Conduct a physical inventory of all corrugated materials by performing daily cycle counts
  • Perform inventory audits on a daily basis or as needed
  • Professional in attitude and performance and leadership of staff
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area by moving empty pallets to a designated area
  • Verify processes are being followed
  • Perform all line clearances and verify for accuracy
  • Assign forklift drivers for set ups and daily job tasks
  • Assist supervisors on the production floor/warehouse to maintain a safe work environment
  • Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

  • Education Desired - High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Ability to pass certification in order to operate a fork/lift truck
  • Stand-up Forklift experience required
  • Previous warehouse production experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to interpret written and oral instructions
  • Ability to lead, train and direct a team
  • Ability to produce at a high level
  • Ability to work with plant management for required results
  • Ability to be able to work as part of a team
  • Ability to perform all computer functions as they pertain to the job
  • 2nd shift: Monday-Friday 2:30pm-11:00pm

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Primarily works in a production and/or warehouse setting
  • Walking, standing, lifting & bending for duration of shift
