Ag Processing Inc (AGP) is a cooperative that processes, sells and transports soybeans, grains, and related products. Our company has become one of the largest soybean processing cooperatives in the world and our plants process soybeans that can be used in a variety of products such as animal feed, vegetable oil, and fuels.

AGP is seeking a temporary HR Coordinator in Omaha, NE. This position will have temporary responsibilities that include recruitment, new employee onboarding, pre-employment, employment data/reporting and benefits in addition to assisting with other key department responsibilities.

The duration of this temporary assignment will be from start date (June 2024) for about 4-6 months. This position is on-site, reporting into the office Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm. The hourly rate will be commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the recruiting process which includes composing job postings and ads, posting positions online, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, conducting reference checks, coordinating background checks, pre-employment drug screens, physical examinations, and writing and sending offer letters.
  • Develop applicable reports and data dashboards to report recruiting data to leadership.
  • Assist in coordinating college recruiting by organizing and participating in career fairs, club events and other activities.
  • Conduct orientation for new hires with includes I-9's, required paperwork, policy review, benefits, etc.
  • Assist in administering benefits, compensation, and employee performance programs.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field.
  • Ability and willingness to learn company policies, procedures, products, and services.
  • Knowledge of human resource practices and procedures and basic employment law.
  • Ability to learn and communicate company benefits and relocation programs.
  • Skill in interviewing, negotiating, presentation, and oral and written communication.
  • Effective listening skills.
  • Skill in maintaining employment files and other records.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and various business contacts in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Ability to effectively function as a team player.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
