ABOUT THE POSITION

  • Design, develop and maintain high quality software applications.
  • Investigate and resolve complex problems including providing support for production systems in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to coding standards, best practices and architectural guidelines.
  • Select appropriate technologies, frameworks and tools to meet projects requirements that are in line with system architecture.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, translate business needs to technical solutions and propose innovative approaches to address challenges.
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability and scalability.
  • Implement and maintain automated testing processes to validate software functionality and performance.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues, bugs and performance bottlenecks.
  • Utilize version control systems (eg. Git) to manage code repositories and facilitate collaboration among team members.
  • Implement continuous integration and deployment pipelines to automate software builds, testing and deployment processes.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation including design documents, process flows and API specifications.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-project teams including project managers, business analysts, systems analysts and QA.
  • Stay up to date on emerging technologies, industry trends and best practices in software development.
  • Continuously enhance technical skills through self-learning, training and participation in professional development activities.
  • Other duties as required.

Position Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in C#/.NET framework with strong experience in developing scalable and high[1]performance applications
  • Experience with multithreading and concurrency in C#
  • Deep understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns
  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including database design, stored procedures and querying using T-SQL
  • Strong understanding of database normalization, indexing and query optimization techniques
  • Solid understanding of VB.NET for maintaining and integrating legacy systems or components
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript and frameworks like Angular or React
  • Experience in TriZetto/Cognizant Facets architecture and data model is a huge plus
  • Knowledge of API design and development including REST and SOAP
  • Experience with version control systems (eg. Git)
  • Proficient in unit testing frameworks (eg. NUnit)
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing complex software solutions from concept to deployment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Sound judgment, integrity and respect for confidentiality
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience

Monday - Frida 8a-5p CST - additional night/weekend hours as needed.
