General Description | This employee will develop, design, write, and deliver industry specific technical training by collaborating with administration and local industry leaders. Training in robotics, collaborative robotics, end of arm tooling, applied engineering, electromechanical, or other related training areas as requested by industry. Collaborate with local entities, groups, and schools to provide robotics outreach activities for 4th-12th grade students in our area. Meet with industry to assess technical training needs and collaborate with Workforce Development division to provide workforce training opportunities to those organizations. Collaborate with supervisor, appropriate leadership members, and local industry leaders to deliver tailored/customized training, non-credit courses as requested. Maintain accurate documentation of training and courses offered and submit required reports. Promote Northeast non-credit and credit courses throughout the 20-county Northeast Community College region and beyond, when appropriate. Contribute to the development of short- and long-term training initiatives to support Northeast's mission. This is accomplished by: - Developing course syllabi, verifying and submitting required course rosters,grade reports, evaluations, and academic reports. - Maintaining classroom and laboratory supplies, tools, and equipment. - Instruction and evaluation of non-credit courses in accordance with course outlines. - Maintaining an educational robotics space, including game fields, game elements,supplies, and tools necessary. - Attending professional development activities and keeping abreast of industry-related legislation. - Assessing workforce needs of Northeast partners and developing customized strategies to address those needs - Maintaining office hours and accurate records. - Collaborating with the Dean of Workforce Development, and Workforce Development division to offer training and perform as the subject matter expert while promoting training opportunities. |
Qualifications: Education | Work required knowledge of a specific vocational, administrative, or technical nature that may be obtained with six-months/one year of advanced study or training past the high school equivalency. |
Qualification:Experience | Over three years up to and including five years in related field. |
Qualification:Skills | Applicant should possess advanced oral and written communication skills; expertise in robotics, exceptional human relations and problem-solving skills; proficient computer skills; ability to use new technology in the classroom; ability to use LMS as required by Northeast; ability to work collaboratively with others, dedication to a supportive and positive working environment, ability to adhere to all policies and procedures as outlined in the job description, available through PolicyStats and divisions. Successful applicant will show a willingness to participate in college-wide activities, events, professional development, and initiatives, including but not limited to committee work and community outreach; stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to ensure that course content remains relevant to the state of the industry; and provide oversight and maintenance of laboratory supplies, tools, and equipment. |
