We're actively seeking a talented Financial Analysis Consultant to join our Finance team in Newport Beach, CA. This role is hybrid. We believe in empowering our employees to get work done both in and out of the office.

As a Financial Analysis Consultant at Pacific Life, you will be instrumental in driving the company's growth and long-term success. Your primary responsibility will involve driving strategic decision-making through comprehensive cost/benefit analysis. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in evaluating the value realization of the division's top initiatives, contributing significantly to informed and effective business strategies.

How you'll help us move forward:

  • Collaborate with Senior Leadership to drive strategic decision-making through comprehensive business cases, CBAs, and ad hoc analytics.
  • Synthesize insights from various data sources to inform strategic direction within the division, optimizing value across the business.
  • Serve as a trusted finance business consultant to the Senior Leadership Team, providing analytical support to drive strategic ideation.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the business landscape, aligning goals and targets accurately during annual plan and budget reviews.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders to enhance engagement and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Translate complex analytical concepts into clear and actionable insights through effective communication and presentations.
  • Partner with stakeholders to design, implement, and maintain reporting solutions that facilitate improved analysis.
  • Ensure consistent definition, sourcing, and utilization of data in collaboration with Finance teams.

The experience you bring:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience, including a background in management consulting and/or financial strategy.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Partner in a cross-functional decision support role within finance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or Accounting.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, accountability, and responsiveness to requests.
  • Strong executive presence with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams to drive performance, creativity, problem-solving, and results.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp new concepts, techniques, and standards and apply them accurately in a dynamic environment, with a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Strategic business acumen with the capability to identify and communicate inter-dependencies to key stakeholders.
  • Intellectual curiosity and analytical prowess in navigating complexity, ambiguity, and diversity.
  • Proficiency with dashboarding and visualization tools.

What makes you stand out:

  • Advanced degree or professional certifications such as CFA or MBA.
  • Experience with systems such as Essbase, Hyperion Planning, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms.

Base Pay Range:

The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.

$144,630.00 - $176,770.00
