Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
Kutak Rock LLP is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist for the Accounting and Finance Department in its Omaha, NE office. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented and inquisitive person that enjoys researching and solving problems through accounting.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Gather and verify client invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment
  • Maintain accounts receivable records, documenting credits and collections applied
  • Researching partial payments and uncollectible amounts are accounted for, and miscellaneous differences are cleared
  • Perform daily cash management duties accurately
  • Monitor and collect accounts receivable by contacting clients via telephone, email, and mail with a professional demeanor
  • Support other accounting and finance team members with additional tasks as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS: Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion
  • Highly organized, able to prioritize work assignments and multitask
  • Understanding of basic principles of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy in work product
  • Experience accounting software a plus (firm software is Aderant)
  • Experienced in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills while working collegially with clients, attorneys, and staff
QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience
  • High school diploma (or equivalent) with relevant experience required
  • Associate's degree in Accounting or related field, or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, preferred
  • Relevant experience in accounting, bookkeeping or cash management preferred
  • Experience in a law firm preferred
POSITION INFORMATION
Salary Range: $48,500 - $58,250
Position Status: Non-Exempt
Workplace Type: Hybrid 3:2
