In this role, you will directly contribute to Lam's competitive edge by helping to create the next generation of Platform Products, expanding our lead over our competitors by delivering world-class and world-leading products.

• Collaboratively engineer innovative semiconductor equipment and process design solutions to quickly resolve customer issues and improve product quality in a dynamic fast-paced challenging environment.
• Supports product development from product prototyping, development, deployment/product release, and initial field support.
• Design and conduct experiments, tests, and prototypes to resolve complex technical problems.
• Present analysis and support technical recommendations clearly and concisely.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams to guide the specification and development of products.
• Provides technical support for installation and/or diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and debugging complex product issues.
• Maintain a high degree of customer engagement including face-to-face and international travel to customer sites supporting near term product releases and solve customer issues.
• Work in a cleanroom lab and/or customer semiconductor fab environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Material Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Optics, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field with 6+ years of experience; or a PhD with 3+ years' experience; or equivalent experience.
• Exceptional analytical and experimental design skills.
• Creative thinking, problem solving, and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Exceptional clear communication and presentation skills.
• Comfortable traveling up to 25% of the time with a passport.

• Prior product design and technical engineer experience is beneficial.
• Experience designing, specifying, building, operating, and maintaining semiconductor, automotive, aerospace, or related hardware, tools, and equipment.
• Experience coordinating and communicating with cross-functional teams.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
