Job Description

Our Survey team is growing and we are looking for a Land Surveyor based in Indianapolis. We have some exciting projects in the pipeline with more on the horizon! Qualified candidates should be strong communicators and multi-taskers who can work on several projects at once.

Here are some of the things we see you working on:

  • Project Manage and perform CAD tasks in the preparation of ALTA/NSPS, Boundary, Topographic Surveys.
  • Prepare and coordinate construction layout maps and calculations for field staff.
  • Manage CAD generated surface models and generate accurate contours, cross sections and profile drawings.
  • Perform project research and setup.
  • Perform field work when necessary.

Qualified Candidates will have the following:

  • Degree in civil engineering, construction management, or surveying and geomatics is preferred, or a minimum of 3 years of practical experience performing similar work.
  • Licensed Land Surveyor in South Carolina.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D software.
  • Ability to competently read civil, architectural, and structural drawings, including complex details, and successfully interpret for construction layout.
  • Communicate with clients, accommodate client work requests, and create work order instructions for field staff.
  • Construction layout and field experience a plus.
  • Experience with Trimble equipment (Robotic Total Station & GPS) a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word).
  • Work independently with little instruction.
