Director of Business Intelligence - Berrien Springs (Full-Time)
This is a Hybrid Work Eligible position. You will be required to come into the Operations Center in Berrien Springs, MI as needed to ensure business needs are met.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
  • Responsible for the strategic leadership, development, and ongoing effectiveness of the BI Team.
  • Helps establish the long-term and short-term goals, and strategy of the BI Team.
  • Develops and energizes the BI Team to achieve optimal performance and build personal competencies that will contribute to the team's long-term productivity.
  • Combines business acumen, analytical expertise, and financial industry knowledge to lead the BI Team to develop data-driven recommendations, actions, reports, visualizations, and models that empower leaders to make data-driven decisions.
  • Works with leaders to design data solutions that deliver appropriate insights, solve operational challenges, and illuminate new opportunities.
  • Responsible for ensuring the direction and implementation of data strategy and that the roadmap remains properly aligned with corporate strategic goals.
  • Provides recommendations and direction on new data sources, tools, and processes which expands the use of analytics to help optimize decisions and to better understand how to serve our membership.
  • Serves as a liaison between the BI Team and Leadership Team, ensuring communication and alignment with internal stakeholders to understand immediate and long-term business needs.
  • Serves as a key liaison to the Database Infrastructure Team, maintaining awareness of new data sources and communicates those changes.
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
  • College degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or Information Systems, or related field is required; or an equivalent combination of training and work experience.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • Five to eight years of similar or related experience.
  • Experience leading and developing an analytics team.
  • Experience in building dashboards for various business units.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
  • Knowledge of database tools and structures.
  • Understanding of Power BI, SQL, and Excel.
  • Must have a demonstrated ability to keep finances in order.
  • Ability to analyze information and implement sound and effective solutions.
  • Strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow company policies and procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong project management skills and very detail oriented.
