We're looking for a full-time, staff Structural Engineer III to join our Day & Zimmermann team located in Stanton, TN.
As the Structural Engineer III, here's the work you'll do:
  • Develop structural analysis and design deliverables, engineering design criteria and specifications for foundations, concrete and steel structures on various sized projects.
  • Prepares structural calculations and drawings for pipe and utility supports.
  • Provides technical guidance, technical management and technical reviews for subcontractors designing and manufacturing pipe and utility supports including monitoring subcontractor scopes and schedules and identified changes in scope and their impact, as they occur.
  • Provides coordination of design efforts with other disciplines, subcontractors, construction and client personnel.

  • Monitors and ensures design work and documents are correct, consistent with applicable codes, logically presented and constructible
  • When responsible for work, stamps required project documents as a PE or SE
This role is for you if you have these skills:
* Experience in effective project execution and project procedures. Familiar with structural Codes and standards or ACI, AISC, IBC and ASCE. Ability to supervise and lead the completion of projects.
* Experience in designing, detailing and managing pipe and utility supports for heavy industrial markets.
* Exhibits both technical breadth and depth of subject structural engineering curriculum and is able to effectively communication complex technical solutions and concepts.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills.
* Proficiency using Microsoft Office suite applications, and the ability to quickly learn and use other software packages. Proficiency in one or more structural analysis software packages (RISA, RAM Elements or Staad.pro preferred). Proficiency to create pipe support design deliverables using AutoCAD or Revit.
And if you have these qualifications:
  • ABET BS Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Structural.
  • 8+ years of Experience
  • NCEES Accreditation Preferred
  • PE in Tennessee Required


In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $120,200 - $132, 220 This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
