Job Description

Join the prestigious Omni Tempe Hotel at ASU as the Director of Loss Prevention, where your expertise in security management and dedication to service excellence will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe and secure environment for our guests and associates. This pivotal position calls for a proactive leader with a strong background in hospitality security, adept at managing the comprehensive safety protocols of our establishment.

Responsibilities
    Direct and oversee daily operations of the security department to ensure the protection of hotel property, guests, and associates.
  • Enforce all security standards and policies with precision and ensure team compliance.
  • Conduct meticulous reviews of all security reports for accuracy and ensure timely submissions.
  • Promptly report any observed property deficiencies and safety hazards.
  • Lead thorough investigations of incidents affecting guests and associates, including losses, thefts, accidents, and acts of violence.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources to efficiently handle Worker's Compensation claims and related reports.
  • Oversee guest room surveillance and key control programs to maintain high security standards.
  • Assign security personnel shifts effectively to ensure coverage at all times.
  • Champion the hotel's safety committee, conduct monthly safety trainings, and perform hotel safety self-audits.
  • Develop action plans to achieve full compliance with safety regulations.
  • Occasionally serve as Hotel Manager on Duty, providing leadership across departments.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent educational background.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a Loss Prevention/Security Management role in an upscale hotel or resort.
  • Demonstrated professionalism in interactions with guests and colleagues.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and commitment to maintaining safety protocols.
  • Proven experience in training teams and upholding security and safety standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of effective, efficient interactions with both guests and staff.

*This position is a full-time, on-site position with no work from home flexibility.
