Compensation

Salary Range: $54.85 - $76.36 / hour

The pay range above represents the lowest possible rate for the position and the highest possible rate. Factors that may be used to determine where newly hired employees will be placed in the pay range include the employee specific skills and qualifications, relevant years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most often, a newly hired employee will be placed below the midpoint of the range.

Pay for PRN positions is calculated differently than Full-Time, Regular Part-Time, and Part-Time positions. PRN Rates depend on the position and other factors, including years of experience, or shift commitment according to the department policy. PRN differential is added in certain positions.

Responsibilities

Position Overview:

The Sr. Data and Interoperability Analyst enables flexible data operations for the organization and unifies data across diverse formats spanning different sources, providing the ability to create content, context and meaningful information. By optimizing data standards and system integrations, this role contributes to business and clinical strategy and healthcare delivery.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

    Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Statistics or Information Systems
  • Five (5) years of technical support within a healthcare data ecosystem, including multiple data sources, data collection systems, processes and workflows used during routine clinical care
  • Three (3) years of demonstrated experience in health data exchange architecture, technical skills, process knowledge, and project management
  • Five (5) years' of technical experience working with HIT standards (HL7 v2/v3, FHIR, CDA, etc.) and APIs
  • Five (5) years' technical experience working with clinical terminology standards (ICD10, LOINC, SNOMED)
  • Three (3) years of direct experience with Rhapsody, dbMotion, Excel, SQL, Java

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Statistics or Information Systems
  • Experience leading and executing healthcare clinical data projects
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and expectations regarding real-world data, including data quality, data provenance, and patient protection
  • Experience with PACS, TouchWorks, Meditech, Epic integration
  • Experience with Initiate, PowerBI or Tableau, PowerQuery, R
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  1. Develops and maintains strategies for integrating data from diverse sources, ensuring compatibility and consistency across systems and formats.
  2. Identifies opportunities to enhance interoperability between various systems and platforms within the organization, promoting seamless data exchange and accessibility.
  3. Establishes and enforces data standards and best practices to ensure consistency, accuracy and reliability of data across the organization.
  4. Conducts thorough analysis of data sets to extract meaningful insights, identifies trends and supports decision-making processes.
  5. Generates reports, dashboards and other data-driven content to communicate insights and facilitate informed decision-making at all levels of the organization.
  6. Translates, explains and illustrates complex technical information across the health system, including executive, administrative, clinical and business stakeholders, facilitating understanding and alignment.
  7. Works closely with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and requirements, and to facilitate collaborative solutions in support of healthcare delivery.
  8. Directs and supports the development, improvement and documentation of operational process related to data and interoperability, ensuring clarity and consistency.
  9. Provides training and support to users on data management tools, processes and best practices to promote effective use of data resources across the organization.
  10. Conducts regular audits and quality checks to validate data integrity, identify discrepancies and implement corrective measures as needed, ensuring high data quality standards.
  11. Identifies and effectively advocates for process improvements and needed new processes.
  12. Collaborates with IS teams to optimize systems and applications, primarily focusing on Epic and additional core clinical and business solutions for efficient data management and interoperability.
  13. Analyzes interfaces failures and works with end users, internal and external support teams to resolve them.
  14. Optimizes interfaces to reduce errors and enhance reliability.
  15. Participates in special projects.
  16. Performs other duties as assigned.
