We're actively seeking a talented Customer Service Specialist II to join our Corporate Solutions Operations team in Newport Beach, CA. This role will be hybrid.

As a Customer Service Specialist II, you'll play a key role in Pacific Life's growth and long-term success by working as an integral role within an existing team of Customer Service Representatives and collaborating with the Supervisor to work on outstanding issues, escalated cases, and project enhancements.

How you will make an impact:

  • Performs transactions and provides technical guidance and procedural information on a variety of complex customer service issues and transactions (including market-sensitive transactions) requiring knowledge of the company's products and services, IRS/state/DOI requirements, and various technology platforms.

  • Interacts with other departments as needed.

  • Researches questions, problems, and service issues and provides resolution or escalates issue to management as appropriate

  • Work on specific tasks, cases, research, escalations, projects as assigned

  • Work on team and department operational efficiencies

  • Assist team members with complex requests, training, research

  • Develop relationships with recruiters, field sales staff, internal operation teams and establish or maintain Pacific Life as the carrier of choice, specifically from a service and "ease of doing business" perspective

Complexity of Assignments:

  • Has developed knowledge and skills through formal training or considerable work experience.

  • Has established skills to perform a range of day-to-day activities.

Judgment & Supervision:

  • Works within established procedures with a moderate degree of supervision.

Typical Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience

  • May require vocational training

  • FINRA SIE/series 6 or 7 license required within 6 months of employment


The experience you will bring:

  • Broad knowledge of Pacific Life products and procedures

  • Existing knowledge of our various Distribution channels with an emphasis on the M channel. Experience working with internal and external customers via email, phone, video conference, webinars

  • Ability to problem solve independently

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills

  • Experience with Pacific Life internal systems such as: AWD, FileNet, Mainframe, Salesforce, MS Office

Base Pay Range:

The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.

$28.97 - $35.41
